Nancy and Randy
September 28, 2009
….and we’re back! It’s been forever since my last post, but wedding season is kicking in and we will be in full swing!
Nancy and Randy got married here on September 4th, and I enjoyed all the care and detail they put into this wedding. I especially loved those cute little Godiva chocolate flowers they gave to the kids! I liked the added touch of the thank-you cards they gave to their guests as well. Everything was done with the help of their family, and it’s so great to see everyone stepping up to help out! Congratulations to you both, it’s so lovely to see two people so clearly in love!

I wanted to share a pic of Natalie and JP’s wedding cake from their wedding on July 11th. Happy Monday!!

Kristen and Josh II
July 23, 2009
Our bride Kristen and her Maid of Honor, Tara, were gracious enough to share some pictures and their personal accounts of the wedding. More of their pictures from Chris Paxman Photography can be found on our previous post.

From Kristen:
“Our wedding was at eight in the evening so I had a full day of anticipation. The Orange Tree was a great place to spend the day relaxing and getting ready for the big event. It was great to be able to have a relaxing lunch with my mom and bridesmaids at the Fairway Terrace before we started getting ready. The rooms were great plenty of room for all of us to get ready together. My favorite part of the wedding was right before I walked down the aisle, having that moment to see all my guests, bridal party , and my future husband waiting for me on the steps of the beautiful gazebo. Having my dad by my side made the moment perfect. It was breathtaking walking down that isle with the view of the illuminated fountains and the full moon.
It was a beautiful ceremony performed by a Pastor that I have known for over 20 years. It was so nice getting married to the man I love by someone I grew up with, it was a very transitional moment.
It meant so much to Josh and I that so many traveled from all over the US to be with us on our special day.
Walking into the reception hall was beautiful! The cake looked amazing in the corner with the pink gerber daisy topping. It not only looked good, but it was delicious!”

”All the staff was so friendly and it was a very enjoyable experience. Kerry was so organized it made my day as stress free as possible for me.”
From Maid of Honor, Tara:
“We had guests travel near and far from Upstate New York, North Carolina, Seattle, California, and a range in between. It was great to have the Orange Tree suites for family gatherings before and after dinner it was a great place to reconnect and unwind. All the groomsmen wore white roses except for the father of the Bride who wore a red rose in honor of his father who loved red roses.”

“The reception was fun and relaxed the D.J. had the newlyweds play a newlywed game that got the crowd laughing and on their feet! The guests had a blast dancing in the playful glasses that were passed out during Elton John’s Crocodile Rock!”
Ladies, thank you both so much for sharing your stories with us!

Kristopher and Robert
July 13, 2009
Kristopther and Robert got married in California about a year ago and decided to hold a wedding reception at Orange Tree for their family and friends to celebrate the wonderful occasion. I loved their calla lilly centerpieces on the head table. They even provided a customized menu for the dinner.

Congratulations to you both on your special day!
Lorraine and Andrew
July 7, 2009
Lorraine and Andrew got married here at Orange Tree on the 4th of July! Lorraine made tissue pom-poms to hang in our Mariposa ballroom, which was so adorable! I loved working with Lorraine, she has such a happy spirit and couldn’t have looked more amazing that day. Best wishes on a long and happy life together!

Elizabeth and Myron
June 16, 2009
Congratulations to Elizabeth and Myron! They got married here last Friday. I love the story of how they met. Elizabeth was dropping her dog off at Petsmart, and ended up fawning over Myron’s cute little puppy. When she came back to Petsmart later on that day, Myron had given the staff a note to give to Elizabeth! So sweet. So she ended up calling him and the rest is history.

They held their reception at our outdoor pavilion. It was such a beautiful day! We were blessed with great weather this month…

My favorite part: Their gorgeous wedding cake!
